Item as described. Reported damage to the box was minimal so no issues. Given the studio/publisher's decision to use a big clam shell case, this will be a difficult set to keep in mint condition, so I'd say to any prospective buyers to give strong consideration to what this seller is offering for the Babylon 5 complete series set. Johnny Guitar - Must Have Classic!
Johnny Guitar (1954) is one of the best non-intending humorous western films of all time. Directed by Nicholas Ray (A Rebel Without A Cause). Sterling Hayden, Ernest Borgnine, Joan Crawford John Carridine and Ward Bond all give great performances in a tangled love triangle in the old west where the railroad is soon to be forged. Vienna, played by Joan Crawford, owns the Saloon and her expansion plans are threatening the cattle grazing land of Arizona. The local ranchers set out to put a stop to her plans until they run into Ex-Gun Slinger Johnny Guitar who was hired for the Saloon's entertainment. Just about everything else is thrown into the mix - Stage Coach robbery, Bank Robbery, Fist fights, saloon music, lynching, secret silver mine, hide outs - the works. The dialog is as campy as it ... Action packed and plenty of hilarious over dramatic attitudes and poses from all the cast leaves you with the notion they attempted to act as if they were acting out a satire of "B" movies in general. Few films have reached this acclaim with so many recognizable and respected actors. A real cult classic and well worth owning.

Excellent performances by all the cast - especially Joan Crawford, Sterling Hayden, Scott Brady and Mercedes McCambridge. The movie shows the devastating results when hate is allow to control others and when those in authority fail to take a stand against corruption - much like today's world. The character of Mercedes McCambridge is totally self-defeating and demonic and gives me a chill each time I see it. The most powerful part of the movie for me was the conclusion showing that despite the hate that exists, love will triumph.Excellent performances by all the cast - especially Joan Crawford, Sterling Hayden, Scott Brady and Mercedes McCambridge. The movie shows the devastating results when hate is allow to control others and when those in authority fail to take a stand against corruption - much like today's world. Great Film and Greater Cast.. this is a must to see..... one of the Great westerns of the 50's .. I bought on ebay and will sell in one week.
