    A great take-along book for the collector

    This smaller book doesn't offer nearly as many photos of authentic hatpins as the other Lillian Baker books but it is small enough to take along on your hatpin hunts. Reading the history of the hatpin and seeing the wonderful examples shown in the book will certainly assist one in learning what to look for in an authentic hatpin. If you care to own a quality collection or sell quality hatpins, this book is required reading!

    Hatpins and Hatpin Holders by Lillian Baker

    Although the book is old and prices outdated, it is a good general idea of values and what is good to look for in shopping. There is no more recent book of this nature available. As a new collector, I need to learn all I can. The book is educational and I was delighted to find a holder on eBay shown in the book that I knew was worth owning!

    Hatpins and Hatpin Holders by Lillian Baker (1983, Pape

    Great book to take along when you are antiquing. Light and easy to carry and the photos and descriptions will give the reader enough information to shop well-informed. The page on authentic hatpin findings is a very important reference guide to keep from making a mistake. I recommend this book to all hatpin collectors.

    Mostly on history of the hatpin

    I wasn't very satisfied with the contents of this book. It was 3/4 text. I was hoping for pictures. Only the very back of the book has black and white pictures.

More to explore:
