    Works well on AV

    I was a little disappointed in that the HDMI output did not work as this is what I was looking for to begin with, but the audio / video (AV) works fine and the picture quality is very good.

    Love this recorder! Ran the same model into the ground after 10 years!

    Excellent! As described! No issues! I bought this recorder when it first came out and love it! It records and dubs in high quality video! I searched high and low for this model instead of purchasing newer one! Newer is not necessary better!

    The dvd recorder works great with a great quality sound

    I needed to change my vcr tqapes to dvd also my home movies. Also, this dvd recorder had just the right price I was looking for.

    Toshiba D-VR5 DVD Recorder / VCR Combo

    I was replacing an older model Toshiba DVD combo with this model. Not a lot of changes that makes it nice, but just enough to make it easier to use.
