  • Powerful and Versatile

This is a more than adequate camera with incredible features. It's bigger than pocket size and well worth it because of its built-in options. There's no need for switching out lenses when the 20X zoom is in the body. No need to switch to a video cam when video capability is in the body. There's the speed setting to capture 40 frames in one second, so the best frame can be selected for print. It also has about 20 "best shot" modes for different subject types (scenery, fast-moving animals or children, portraits, sunsets, fireworks, etc.) It's amazingly powerful and versatile. Take a little time to experiment with its myriad of features and you'll have great satisfaction with this camera.

  • Best camera for the features and the money, buy it!

the absolute best camera for the intermediate photographer it's has plenty of customizable feature but also has many preset features (in the best shot mode). All this and it is still reasonably priced. it's high speed modes are phenomenal even the night time high speed mode. it has a manuel focus but it's nothing a like a professional grade manuel focus. if you want to take pictures that focus on the background you just change the focal point in the on screen menu, it's pretty simple.

  • All in all a great camera, and very good value for money!

Bought the camera for the high speed feature. And it is great up to 420fps. The 1000 fps is low resolution and the aspect ratio is very low. Remember that you need good light when filming in high speed! The camera didn't quite live up to my expectations for the 1000fps high speed filming, the reason for this could be to high expectations. Other features that I like is the "Best Shot" function. Lots and lots of cool ways to take pictures. Have owned only plain compact cameras before. Compared to this the FH25 is a giant step!

  • Great camera at a reasonable price

This is a fantastic camera that takes still photographs to rival any mid level DSLR. The video quality is top-notch for a point and shoot and the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that you lose picture size when you engage the high-speed movie function. This is an unfortunate nature-of-the-beast feature when you are dealing with a feature that takes up an enormous amount of memory. Overall though, this is a great camera especially for under $500, considering that any high-speed video camera will cost several thousand dollars easily.
