About this product

Product Information

This Grand Theft Auto-inspired game of violence and vengeance begins deep in Maya jungle, where a man named Ernesto Cruz was lost in 1989. The official explanation for his disappearance was fatal overdose, but this is not enough for Ernesto's twin sons, Ram and Tommy. They embark on a quest for truth, though the Mexican wilderness and underworld urban environments inhabited by gangs, drug lords, and dangerous women. Players can explore the large areas on foot, or commandeer any vehicle they choose. Total Overdose features a fighting game-styled combo system, and smart, skilled shooting unlocks new equipment and abilities. A "Rewind" system allows players to repeat a sequence to nail a perfect combo, or even to turn back the clock and avoid a fatal mistake.

    GTA + STUNTMAN + MATRIX + COLORFUL

Nice Training Missions to help game play controls, well detailed environments, radar to find next to do, bright colors painted throughout. Matrix-like slow mo gets old fast, easier to auto aim and keep going.

  • A damn fine game...

Nice graphics, cool story, excellent overall sound (I'm not a huge fan of latin music, but what else would fit this game...very-much fits the mood)lots of goofy (but in an endearing and fun way) little "bonus modes" Day of the dead, Mad wrestler...I totally agree with the other reviewer that said it's GTA meets mexican Matrix...My only problem is the lack of an in-game map...makes driving around looking for missions a little tedious...I give it a four...if you like to shoot people and blow up stuff, check this one out!

  • Exciting, really a game that can go on and on.

Funny sayings in the game like when you steal a car you hear in the game, Reminds me of a grand theft auto game play but in mexico. You have abillities with other weapons that you can get from accomplishing missions, but use them wisely for you only get so many. You can play the mission over and over again. You have the option to continue or replay if you didnt get the rating that you liked. But all in all its really fun. I get lost in time of how long i'm playing this some times. You have a good sellection of weapons. There's auto saves after you finish something so you dont need to go around and find saving points cause well i cant see them on the map but they are there.

  • Not bad for the price

This is a 3rd person action game. Its kind of a mix of Tarantino's From Dusk Till Dawn, Max payne and Grand Theft Auto with a thick layer of clichéd, over-played Hispanic culture references including spanish swears. Some comments may come off as a bit offensive and the graphics are not the greatest but if you get past that, Its easy, funny and full of action. For what it cost now... if you can get it for less than 20, its worth it.

  • Great!! **I tried it out & it was "AWESOME!!"

This is perfect for my son for Christmas!! He loves guns and Mexicans!! He loves to play on Playstation 2, and this game will blow his mind!! He'll absolutely love it!!
