    More or less the same as the original with a couple of added features.

    I reprogrammed it to my IPilot and that was easy. It works but I haven't been on the water with it yet so this is an incomplete review.

    Replacement for original defective design

    My first remote broke when I had to take six screws out to replace a battery. Very convenient. It failed because the broken stew seats failed to assure a water tight environment. No idea if this newly designed unit is more friendly and tolerant of normal maintenance.

    Some of the other reviews bother me

    First off I have nothing but good things to say about this remote. This is the first time I've had to replace it and I have a terrova 55lb 1358853 4 years old. (1st released in 2012) It's on the front of my 16 foot boat and I'm always on the back never had a problem with instant signal to the trolling motor. I wish I could add a picture of my old remote to show you how mean I was to it. Minn Kota is always a good choice. Always has 5 star products.
