This is a good book to read ,if you want to know more about the Red Hot Chili Peppers from the periods between the late 1970's (before they were famous) up until the early 1990's. Because this book was written way back in 1993. There is an updated version of this book, also written by Dave Thompson, Called "By the Way". (not the cd) and it is a good read as well. I recommend this book mainly for die hard fans,But there are some great pictures to look at while you read this book.
