The Audio-Technica VM540ML is my pick as the best cartridge upgrade for the Audio-Technica AT-LP120, as that is the turntable I have.
There are a couple of reviews as to why I chose this cartridge. They are in depth, as they should be when you are spending this type of money for one. Since I cannot post links, google, "Best Cartridge Upgrade for Audio-Technica AT-LP120", as that is the turntable I bought it for. There is another review at, Home Theater and High Fidelity titled....Google... If your getting back into vinyl, this is the cartridge to have!
This sounds great on my Technics 1200 MK2. Nice bass, midrange and really brings the details out on the high end. Best sounding cartridge I ever had. Buy it you won't be disappointed!

An incredible upgrade from the ATN95E
I'm somewhat new to record players and was skeptical that it was worth spending the money on this. I am blown away with the sound quality and am more than happy with the upgraded. The upgrade in sound is worth the price you pay. Would recommend this upgrade for anyone with the stock AT LP120xusb
