About this product

Product Information

Moonraker, Britain's new ICBM-based national defense system, is ready for testing, but something's not quite right. At M's request, Bond begins his investigation with Sir Hugo Drax, the leading card shark at M's club, who is also the head of the Moonraker project. But once Bond delves deeper into the goings-on at the Moonraker base, he discovers that both the project and its leader are something other than they appear to be.

"By some latent intuition, Fleming was able to peer beyond the Cold War limitations of mere spy fiction and to anticipate the emerging milieu of the Colombian cartels, Osama bin Laden and indeed the Russian mifia." - Christopher Hitchens

The "Downton Abbey" Season 6 Blu Ray I recieved, was exactly as shown in the photos, as well as described in great detail. The customer service at Goodwillexpress is professional & has excellent correspondence/communication. You recieve updates from the beginning of your order, until you recieve it. The prices are a fine & fair value. Also, I really loved & appreciated the excellent shipment/packaging. I will definately be a customer in the future. Many thanks, Sugar WhiteπŸ¦„

A concern over missing tracking data was adequately addressed by the seller, goodwillexpress. Despite this concern, the DVD arrived on time and in the advertised (new/sealed) condition. The DVD was well-protected during shipment and I experienced no significant issues during playback. I am thankful that they had the exact movie that I was searching for at a very tempting price. Understanding that the seller is also a nonprofit makes me quite happy to purchase from them again.

  • Moonraker by Ian Fleming 1955 James Bond novel

"Moonraker" Ian Fleming's 1955 James Bond novel. This is Fleming's third James Bond book. Not to be confused with the Christopher Wood adaptation of the dreadful Roger Moore film of the same title, this is the novel that Ian Fleming truly begins to hit his stride with the series and a deeper look into the character and life of James Bond. In this novel, Bond is sent to investigate the first British atomic missile and it's creator, Sir Hugo Drax, whom has an evil agenda, the atomic bombing of London! A valued novel by Bond collectors in many respects, with many insights into Bond, M, the secret service of Bond's world, including the very first appearances of Miss Moneypenny and Q. This is a highly recommended novel, both for fans of 007 and action packed thrillers!

  • Bond is human.

I loved this book. The begining was the first book to show Bond out of action and living somewhat of a normal life. Then it picks up, Bond style. It showed the human side of Bond. Casino Royale and Live and Let Die, were great books, but Moonraker is my favorite so far.
