    Fire Rated box with limited security

    The lock gives the safe limited security as it could be opened rather easily with a pry bar. I dont like that the key can’t be removed when unlocked. I always am concerned about breaking a key off when left in the key hole. It would be wonderful if it had a handle on top to assist in carrying or moving it. Other than that it serves my purposes quite well.

    Poor quality

    the safe was covered with white dust, more like dust from sheetrock construction, stick to my hands and felt uncomfortable. Although it is a heavy safe, but it must been "thrown" around during shipping, the top cover is loose from left to right about a few cm. Not so sure this safe is really good for 30 minutes of fire protection.

    Every family needs at least one of these!

    This is exactly what I've been looking for and the cost makes it affordable for most people. Everyone should have important documents safe from fire, water damage just in case. It's peace of mind and quick access when you need it. Perfect for your wills, POA info, car info, medical records and the like.     Does what it's meant to do

    This seems to be a good product for typical home use: Protect your important documents from possible fire. While it's not secure if, say, the government invades your home and drills out the lock, it is sufficient protection in typical situations. If you are keeping your key documents in a regular filing cabinet, why not take an extra step towards keeping them safe through emergency situations? Better "safe," pardon the pun, than sorry!

    Plastic Safe

    The design seems good, however it is plastic and I've never known plastic to be fireproof, since most plastics have a melting point of between 375° & 500° F. If I ever suffer a fire, then I'll know if it keeps the contents safe. Until then, I cannot recommend a plastic safe for securing valuables from fire.
