There are bumps on the back of the brackets where the support piece has been welded. They will not lie flat until you screw them in and may leave a small depression in the shelf and wall. Included hardware was fine but I purchased stronger anchors and pan head screws for a nicer finish. Otherwise a great light-duty bracket that worked well to make some bookshelves.
