About this product

    Product Information

Taking place in the year 2014, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2 finds the Ghost team once again fighting rebels from Mexico, only this time it's on the U.S. border between El Paso and Juárez. In order to prevent an imminent attack on American soil, players must lead a four-man team on an 11-mission campaign, with battles taking place in mountainous regions, deserts, rural areas, and small towns. A sophisticated graphics engine incorporates such elements as real-time day and night cycles, a dynamic weather system, and destructible environments.

The artificial intelligence of computer-controlled teammates has been an area of focus for this installment, with two new orders available to squad commanders: recon and assault. Issuing the recon order will have troops gathering intelligence and only attacking an enemy if fired upon, while the assault order has soldiers concentrating all their firepower on a specific target. The game also does away with the checkpoint system, allowing players to save their mission progress at any time instead of at specific intervals.

As players issue commands to their squad and carefully plan out their attacks, they can once again rely on CrossCom technology to view the battlefield from the eyes of their soldiers. CrossCom 2.0 lets players expand the picture-in-picture display to a full-screen view for a more detailed look at the environment. A tactical approach is essential, as rebels will not only attempt to flank your outnumbered squad on the ground, but they will also take advantage of elevated positions for sniper fire.

To help improve your team's chance of success, air strikes can be called, mobile cover can be utilized, and weapons can be replenished with unmanned artillery mules. Each squad member can also be healed directly on the battlefield with the new medic soldier class. Xbox Live support is also included for up to 16 players on a choice of 18 maps. Clan support, dynamic spawn points, and a six-level co-op campaign are just a few of the new online features in store for Xbox 360 owners.

      GRAW 2

Great game if you are a fan of the Ghost Recon series. Amazing sound effects especially the grenade and satchel charges. Strategic 3rd person, a must play on hard level.

    • In retroreview, it has a lot of features, and flaws

Let me start by saying that I got GRAW 2 because a friend of mine did who had been budget game shopping due to the economy. As such, we had already played Rainbow Six: Vegas 1 and 2 online a great deal, and a lot of my impression of this game is based on what it does better and/or worse. Having never played GRAW 2, I can't say much for the story, but who really plays a Tom Clancy game for the plot? The single player game allowes you to give orders to your team, and much like in earlier R6 games, and the excellent SWAT games, you can see things from their point of view. GRAW 2 also adds (which was probably in GRAW 1) the UAV satellite that you can send to get an aerial view of the tactical situation. I recognize that this would be unrealistic to have in R6, and also useless considering ...

    • Ghost Recon:AW 2

Ok im going to start splitting up my game reviews in sections.Gameplay which will include much of what you need to know. Graphics which is something important in the next gen consoles! Sound for all the audio buffs..and multiplayer for all the run and gun with a friend type people Gameplay 8 out of 10: Do you like being thrown into situation in a game in which you actually have to think? well this game does just that! Not only does it do that, but it throws you into situations that will have you running for cover! The least thing you would expect is to all of a sudden be confronted with numerous enemies while having freaking attack helicopters shooting thousands of bullets at you from the gattling gun! and having to control a squad makes it a crazy task.the thing about having all this ...

    • GRAW 2

All I can say is that the single player campaign in this game is absoloutely stunning. You actually have to control a 4 man unit and later in the game, a stryker, a tank, and a helicopter. It sounds incredibly complicated to control so many things at once, but the controls are relatively easy to learn. The previous Ghost Recon games I found to be horrible but this game is a totally different experience. You can choose between loads of new high tech weaponry and choose who you have in your squad (like a grenadier, marskman, riflemen, medic, etc.). Yet there is one huge drawback to the game and that's the multiplayer. This would include the coop, Xbox Live, and local splitscreen matches. They are really not that much fun. The redical in the multiplayer is harder to adjust than the single ...

    • Fun game, pretty realistic. Good multiplayer

Pros: Graphics are excellent - probably some of the best for the 360 right now. You always feel like you're right in the game. I love how there's online Co-Op, which can be up to 16 players, or just you and your friend. Cons: During campaign, you have briefings where you're usually in a helicopter or car, but your controller is vibrating non stop during this time. It usually lasts a few minutes. I like being able to cutomize your character in online, but A. they should have let you be able to do that in campaign, and B. give you more options for customization, but it's still pretty good. If you're more of an online player, the cons shouldn't bother you, and even if you are going to play campaign, it's not that big of a deal. If you like Rainbow Six or Splinter Cell, you'll love this ...
