About this product

Product Information

One of the more obscure games starring the affable Italian plumber, Mario's Picross is a unique puzzler in which the objective is to reveal a secret picture (such as a shoe or a mushroom) by chiseling blocks in a grid. Numbers situated outside the grid identify how many blocks to chisel in a particular row or column, but players must use logic to decipher exactly which blocks to chisel. Chiseling where you shouldn't elapses precious minutes off the clock. Mario's face is situated in the upper left section of the screen, and the numbers and blocks give the game a clean, though simplistic look. The music is repetitive, but gameplay, which is bolstered by well over 100 puzzles, is addictive, challenging and very enjoyable.

Fantastic seller. Samsa really went above and beyond here. While the item was initially listed as untested, upon request he tested the system out for me using the built in snail game and gave a detailed report on how it worked. Item arrived in record time in great shape, and worked perfectly. Seller was responsive in messages and beyond helpful. Item was sold at an excellent price as well. Phenomenal seller, cannot recommend them enough.

  • Great little puzzler!

If you're into puzzles, then this game is definitely for you! If you haven't done picross puzzles before, then don't worry, as Nintendo introduces you to the puzzles very slowly. There is a great tutorial to start you off, and from then on a very slow learning curve. This will possibly bore people who are used to these puzzles, as you'll find the first 20 or so puzzles extremely easy. However, that just means it won't take you that long to get onto the harder puzzles. All in all, there are 192 puzzles. Each with quite interesting pictures to create and with increasing levels of difficulty. You get 30 minutes to do each puzzle so someone who is used to picross/griddler puzzles should be able to do them first time. Only some of them may take two or more attempts. However, if you're new some ...

  • Great Puzzle game for the original gameboy

a combination of crossword and sudoku. It's fun and after a few rounds you will be a picross master. it has a three difficulty tiers that i suggest working your way through the second one is where the puzzles begin to get challenging. The time system is frustrating and it's easy to make simple mistakes, but i couldn't put it down a definite recommend for puzzle buffs. Mario fans might wanna sit this one out he's only like a marketing gimmick for the game. Again great puzzle game and awesome rare original title for the classic gameboy

  • Fun Puzzle Game

Mario's Picross is a puzzle game for Game Boy. It reminds me of a visual version of sudoku. It has many puzzles to solve. Picross is basically a game where you use logic to determine where blocks go to form a picture. It is satisfying, because when done correctly, you are rewarded with a cool little image. If you are a beginner, you will find that the logic has multiple levels. You will learn more and more little tricks and rules as you become better at Picross, just as with sudoku. It's a great game to have to just have by your bed at night, or in your briefcase, where you can just pick it up and play. Once you have completed all the puzzles[200 some i believe], you can go back and play them again, although I have not done that yet. This game can save your progress after every ...

  • Fun to play if you love puzzles

Has many puzzles in the game but not all of them are Mario ones. Quite disappointing. Also you have a time limit to complete the puzzle and you lose time when you fill in the wrong square and when time runs out, game over. You can also change the song on each course or turn the song off. You can also do hints and it fills in two lines for you randomly and you have to fill in the rest. 64 puzzles for each course. You will even find these puzzles on Picross DS so this game isn't worth getting if you have that other game. But you have to connect to wi-fi to download them. But overall I like this game. If I knew I would find these on Picross DS I wouldn't have gotten this game.

  • Great value!

Package of Gameboy games is of great value considering how rare one of the games (Gadget Racers) is! The other two games are just as interesting and entertaining as the abovementioned rare game!
