Product Information

THQ's entry in the animal-rearing genre features an assortment of 3D puppies and kittens to groom, play with, and train. Eight breeds include Huskies, Dalmatians, Maine Coons, Siamese, and more. Stylus-driven activities involve giving baths, petting coats, going on walks, and feeding tasty treats. Players are encouraged to train their animal so it can compete in various obedience and agility shows. Pets can be taught to sit, stand, stay, shake paws, and perform other tricks via stylus or microphone. Each animal's health, cleanliness, happiness, and skill levels are monitored throughout activities, offering players open-ended goals to accomplish each time they visit their canine companion or feline friend. In addition to completing "quests" on one of four maps, players can participate in games of Frisbee, fetch, and hide-and-seek for some lighthearted fun.

    Based on what really counts

    I bought this game because Anna, my eight year old, loves animals and begged me to buy it for her. Since it arrived she has been playing it non-stop and she told me to rate it as excellent. I'll take her word for it since she has two other animal games, which she also likes, and thinks this one is just as good or better. So, my conclusion is that if your child loves animal games, they will probably like this one.

    Paws & Claws:Dogs & Cats Best Friends(Nintendo DS)

    My nine year old daughter absolutley loves this game.It has lots of different items that you can choose for your pet and several different dogs and cats to choose from as well.We decided to buy this game because she has Nintendogs:Lab & Friends and she cant stop playing it,so if your child loves animals,they will love this fun game :-)

    Paws & Claws: Best Friends-2 thumbs up!!

    Although we bought this for one son, all of our sons enjoy playing. I now see them playing with this and trying to name the pets-much better than fighting!! I haven't sat down and played this one yet-although I have looked at it while the boys were playing. It seem easy enough to figure out and the graphics are pretty good. By the way, I'm sure girls will enjoy too-I just don't have any tp give input!

    It's lots of fun!

    I didn't give it a 5 star because sometimes the screen would go blank and I'd have to take the cartridge out and put it back in. But other than that I love to play this game because I love to play with cats, I get to make them do tricks. It's lots of fun. I'm an 11 year old girl:)

    good game

    good game, until my kids lost it on me. Hard game to find now. PLay it all the time.I just wish there were more choices on the clothing and toys. It is an easy game for young kids and one of the best ways to own a pet with out have to really walking them
