October Rust is the fourth studio album by Type O Negative. It was released in 1996. This is the first album with Johnny Kelly credited as the band's drummer, although programmed drums are used on the album. October Rust has more ballads and less of the doom metal sound of previous or subsequent albums.

    October rust review!

    October Rust - the fourth album by the American doom / goth metal band Type O Negative, released in 1996 October Rust calmer and melodic than previous albums, and the mood is drawn not only to metal, much to the classic gothic rock. The first track "Bad Ground", and two unnamed track (the second and fifteenth) - is another example of the peculiar humor, Type O Negative. "Bad Ground" - it thirty-eight seconds of buzz, which should create the feeling that the headphones listener properly inserted, and the second and last track - it is a parody on the process of recording an album. This is the first album on which drummer played Johnny Kelly, who replaced Sol Abruskato. "Cinnamon Girl" - cover version of Neil Young.

    Type O Negative - October Rust

    This album is filled with atmospheric sounds and schemes. Very earthy material with a great appeal to nature, autumn, fallen leaves and other innovative ideas. For a Type O Negative fan, this is a staple in their collection, a timeless masterpiece. For those who are not fans of Type O, this would be a great way to introduce oneself to this amazing band. Their sound is influenced by The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Sisters of Mercy and has it's own original twist. Overall this is recommended for everyone. You will not be disappointed.

    A Must Have

    October Rust is one of the best albums of all time .. With its slow grinding Riffs and the deep pain filled vocals of lead singer "Peter Steele" The album takes slow depressing gloom metal to a new heights.. Every song on the cd is a masterpice. Some of the best are Love You To Death, which is a tribute to love, pain and darkness, They are all great, just pop in the cd and sit back and enjoy,
