Each chapter follows a consistent approach: Tanenbaum presents key principles, then illustrates them utilizing real-world example networks that run through the entire book--the Internet, and wireless networks, including Wireless LANs, broadband wireless and Bluetooth. The Fifth Edition includes a chapter devoted exclusively to network security.     ONE CHAPTER MISSING

    The book itself is really good and valuable, but the chapter on network security is missing in the one I received. The quality of the edition is pretty awful, but it is $20, so it is fine. But it is actually terrible that there is one chapter missing. "The Book is printed in English and the Book Contents are same as United States Edition but end chapters exercises may vary." - It is a LIE! So DO NOT BUY THIS!

    Great book and is just like the US version except.

    The book is excellent and I use in my network class. It is just like the US version except in how the first chapter is called chapter 1 in the US and is called I think introduction in this version. But the content is word for word.

    I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking to venture into computer networks. This can be used as a reference or for learning pretty much from scratch. It is used and recommended in my university and is a great book to have!

    I bought this book because of my Computer Networks course. We are learning using this books so I needed it. It is a great book, worth it to buy and to read. Tanenbaum is one of the most amazing IT-related book writer!
