    NEVER ENOUGH

    Another interesting piece of history of THE PRINCE OF DARKNESS. On the Corner was an album that was never completely understood at the time it was produced. Here we have the whole thing with long complete sessions that (some of them) even ended in other albums of DAVIS on the coming years. Box is so cool with a laminate gold effect and the libretto is full of information an historic photos. Sound quality is no more that you can expect from CD's (I love LP's, reel tapes and analog sound) but is fine. Maybe the only important thing to consider is that mixing (of course) was not produced by the great TEO MACERO and many MILES DAVIS serious fans complain that a mixing like this not done by MACERO transform the whole thing in a fake. But I thing that even considering that it has a ...

    For completists only ... ?

    Not my favourite Miles but everything he does is 5 stars with me. This is a must have if you are to understand the artist's development and his impact on all of the music that has come after him. From funk to hip hop and all points of the contemporary music horizon, Miles was there first.
