There are some small unexpected creases on the plastic face of the box and peeling paint points in the basement, however, they are accepted. Especially, the diecast is still in good shape. There is a complaint about FedEx's service only. The product was not delivered to the door without any contact. I had to check the track ID only often, requested them to hold on store, and picked it up at the FedEx store.

    It's great for making music.

    It's great for making music. It allows you to control your entire studio thru 2 midi outs. You can make it even better with the aftermarket OS ....J.J. OS. It's my personal favorite. I also have a Maschine but I prefer the MPC1000 for production.

    Not a great exp.

    It works but not like I expected - a few pads were dead and some of the buttons, Had to buy a new pad kit and main board to resolve the issues and it was missing a foot. I wouldn't buy like this again!!

    mpc1000

    Great unit. For those debating the differences between this and the mpc500, definitely take some time and research. They are fundamentally different units. I used this to live sequence multiple pieces of outboard gear, and trigger samples in numerous live gigs over the years and it never let me down. Definitely a learning curve, especially with the way it loads/saves data, but there is plenty of documentation, and a good online community to give support.

    Excellent deal!

    I purchased this product because it's accessible, there's a vast community of diverse users, and you can pretty much take it apart and put it back together and replace parts really easy. With JJOS, it's actually the best value hardware out there.
