Perhaps an acquired taste, but rockers should enjoy.
Movie starts a bit slow. Familiar faces Clint Howard, P.J Soles (of Halloween Fame), Vince Van Patton abound. Arrival of the Ramones about half-way through gets things going starting with The Ramones in P.J. Soles bedroom and shower. A hilarious scene. The big concert in town features what appears to be an actual live performance by The Ramones. The paces picks up for the rest of the movie and includes an explosive finish. A Leonard Maltin interview of poroducer Roger Corman is also worth a look.The movie is also interspersed with the music of other artists of the era.Movie starts a bit slow. One of the greatest rock & roll movies of all time!
Obviously, as this is a cult B movie, it is not one of those films which received all sorts of award. But, it is one of the best short sets of music you will find by the Ramones. Sure it is campy, and sort of corney in a few ways, but that's what Roger Corman does best. There are some real actors in this movie, just not the Ramones, who look like deer caught in the headlights in most of thier parts. But, all in all it is a good movie worth your time and energy, and maybe even the kids. Sure it is dated, but in this case seeing the Ramones try to act, and then do a great live set, is all worth the effort. So, the next time it is raining outside and you really don't feel like cleaning up the house, sit down, turn up the volume, and watch history in motion. There has never been, and never ... Obviously, as this is a cult B movie, it is not one of those films which received all sorts of award. But, it is one of the best short sets of music you will find by the Ramones. The Ramones Rock!
A classic blast to the past, must have movie for any old school punk lovers. Lame plot, horrible acting, but killer music and performances by The Ramones. Just an all around fun flick that you'll want to pump up the volume while watching!

This is truly a 70's/80's movie. If you love the Ramones, it has a ton of their music in it. And the whole plot of the movie is so stupid that it will make you laugh at these dumb teenagers. It's a good classic to laugh at the things they used to where and to listen to some real rock n roll music. The entire movie is so dramatic and absurd that it's just plain funny. So, if you like movies with a lot of music in it and a classic plot, this is a good movie for you.This is truly a 70's/80's movie. If you love the Ramones, it has a ton of their music in it.
