Standing Liberty Quarters in any condition present an opportunity for the aspiring Numismatist or the veteran coin collector to pursue their hobby on many levels. Minted for a relatively short time from 1916 through 1930 there are a manageable number of date and mint combinations to gather to fill a coin folder. The only real drawback to the series is that the first coin minted the 1916 is extremely rare in any condition and requires a stroke of luck or deep pockets to acquire. I've solved that problem by filling that hole with a nice collectible TYPE 1 coin facing reverse out. As time passes I keep my eyes out for the best examples I can find of all the other dates like this nice 1927-P that's in fine condition and I'm always hopeful that someday I'll find that elusive 1916 SLQ.Standing Liberty Quarters in any condition present an opportunity for the aspiring Numismatist or the veteran coin collector to pursue their hobby on many levels.
