    so far so good

    I haven't used all of the mic's settings. The shot gun mode is the only option I can speak to. My experiences have been limited to being in a tree hunting. The sound quality is good and there is no excessive wind nosie.

    Not cheap, compact in size, but one of the best.

    This little, camera-mounted microphone, provides surprisingly good audio. It is a little more expensive than others, but is just as good, if not better. Keep in mind that the foot that provides support and electrical connection to the camera is not standard, so the microphone won't work on other cameras. Unless you're within a few feet of the sound source, use the Shotgun mode for best results.
