    Ye olde Diablo PS1(PS3)

Console games have a come a really LONG way. My original experience with Diablo was on PC using mouse & keyboard, "click hell", but fun. I have to the PS1 version is fun and a trip down memory lane, but did not age well at all. The controls are stiff and somewhat klunky, using the D-pad movement and directional aiming. The graphics are decent for the time and system it was released for. I played using a PS3, worked fine, but the lack of an analog stick for movement and aiming really taints the experience. All that said, other being a Blizzard fan boy and wanting this as part of you collection (which I'm guilty!), I would definitely not recommend the price buyers are asking for it at this time.

  • A great rare and classic rpg PlayStation game.

Diablo is a great dungeon rpg game on PlayStation. It has replay value because of the different difficulty levels. Random dungeons are awesome which adds to the replay value. The variety of weapons, armor, amulets, rings, and spells are great which get even better on higher difficulty levels and the farther you explore the dungeons. I truly recommend this game not only because it is going up in price but because it is getting very hard to find. So glad to have it back again.

  • Very Impressed!

I was very happy with the Playstation version of this game. I was surprised by how easy it was to control with the d-pad. The option to double gameplay speed was also very useful. If you're a fan of the Diablo series or any games made by Blizzard, I would highly recommend this game. The price is a bit high, but will only go up in my opinion.

  • PS - Diablo

In 1998 game creators of Blizzard created a multi-platform (PS/PC) game called Diablo, and in later years Diablo 2 and more. Diablo's unique level set-up allows a player, or players (2 on PS and 4 on PC online), to fight the seemingly endless armies of demons and undead from hell as they make their way to the final boss; DIABLO, the Lord of Terror. In this edition a unique concept was made so every time the game was played different levels, and random quests would be presented to the players as well as 3 modes of game play (Normal, Nightmare, and HELL). The random level creator, also found in the later editions, was beyond compair at the time. This method made the game's 'Replay Value' far higher than most games created to this point. Even today (2006), Battle.Net still homes well ...

  • Works okay for an old game

After a previous copy I purchased didn't quite work, I was surprised when this one did. I ran it on a PS3, which works fine but the disc reader makes sounds when rendering certain things like voices, which doesn't normally happen when it plays Ps1 discs. The controls are responsive, load times aren't too bad, the only problems I could find were a couple of graphical glitches and a missing prop in the beginning that wasn't essential. Since the game is pretty challenging and long I haven't worked out every single kink yet, but overall it's a positive experience just from seeing it work.
