Nice upgrade just not as neat.
A great upgrade prom the previous model.. the only drawback is my old setup had throttle on left connected to joystick on right which then connected to the pc, also on the right. This new set has joystick on the right, connected to throttle on the left, which then has a cable going back to the right to the pc.. it puts 2 cables across my area instead of one.

Great to use once you get used to it
I got my X52 to replace my Thrustmaster Hotas 4 for Elite Dangerous. It took about 2 days before I was comfortable with the button placements. I also I removed the throttle detent for a nice, smooth acceleration. Personally I would rather have it at mid-point so that I can stop midway for forward and then reverse like the Thrustmaster 4. Another thing, don't bother installing the Saitek software, let Windows install the drivers.
