Tripwire Interactive's WWII-era first-person shooter series continues by showcasing what proved to be a turning point in the war, and of the deadliest single engagements in the history of warfare, in Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad. The main campaign focuses on the events leading up to and surrounding the Battle of Stalingrad, allowing gamers to join the German army as it assaults Stalingrad, or follow the Russian forces as they repel the attack and deal a major blow to the Axis forces. <br><br>Developers tapped the "Unreal 3" proprietary engine in an attempt to accurately portray the action, including the use of first-person cover that allows for peeking and blind fire, realistic WWII weaponry with true-to-life ballistics and bullet penetration, squad command and flanking, and a morale system that takes into account the mental stress placed on soldiers embroiled in deadly conflict. Other single-player modes include shooting-range and assault-course challenges designed to help gamers hone their skills, earn awards, and win competitions, while a "Skirmish" mode lets players try out any level or campaign. Online features include multiplayer co-op in campaigns or skirmishes, competitions, leaderboards, and persistent stat-tracking and player progression, with the best of players earning a "Hero" rank that allows for access to the best weapons.

Gracias a la comunidad, RO:HOS será el juego perfecto que todos esperabamos
Jugué Red Orchestra: Ostfront por +6 años, y disfruté cada momento. Desde que RO2 era un rumor, estaba demasiado emocionando e impaciente por jugarlo. Es uno de los mejores (si no el mejor)juegos que he tenido el placer de jugar. Esperaba que al poner mis manos enciam de RO:HOS sentiría la misma emoción que sentía cuando jugaba RO:OST, con mejores gráficos y más contenido. Los momentos de tensión y de extrema satisfacción cuando anotabas otro punto a tu lista de enemigos muertos. Por desgracis, Heroes of Stalingrad se queda corto en todo eso. Lamentablemente TWI cambió de rumbo durante el desarrollo, y decidieron "relajar" aquello que hizo tan genial si primer juego de la serie. Todo para tener acceso a más clientes, decidieron introducir elementos extremadamente arcade, en contra del ... Jugué Red Orchestra: Ostfront por +6 años, y disfruté cada momento. Por lo tanto tenemos: - Distribución de armas muy desbalanceada y fomentando el gun'n'run (absurdo ratio de automáticas con respecto a rifles) - Zoom (tiene su explicación, pero simplemente no encaja en el tipo de juego) - Velocidad e juego DEMASIADO veloz (adiós emoción de ir reptando escondido hasta posiciones enemigas), donde ahora todo se resume a correr y disparar. - Mapas minúsculos. Estos cambios, que tenían como objetivo atraer a jugadores de CoD y MoH, fué muy mal recibido por sus fieles seguidores. EL resultado? Como era de esperarse, los jugadores de CoD y MoH lo consideraron demasiado difícil para ellos y migraron a BF3 y MW3. Mientras que sus fieles fans, lo consideraron demasiado arcade, luchando por jugarlo aunque no les termina de convencer. Los bugs. Aún cuando no considero ético criticar a un juego por sus bugs (siempre y cuando los desarrolladores sigan haciendo un esfuerzo para arreglarlos), pero RO:HOS era prácticamante INJUGABLE los primeros días. De paso contenido del juego no logró llegar a la fecha de lanzamiento (campaña COOP). Sin embargo tengo fé que TWI seguirá parcheando su juego hasta que esté pulido. Conclusión, RO:HOS SERÁ un juego brillante y tan perfecto como siempre hemos esperado, en el momento en que esté disponible el SDK (soltaron un beta, pero no es 100% funcional). Ya que nuestra esperanza yace en los creadores de mapas y contenido de la comunidad. Lo recomiendo, pero no creo que su estado ACTUAL sea el mejor

A great ww2 game! takes you back to the early 2000's ww2 games!!
fun game! im a old school gamer who loved mohaa when it first came out and this game reminds me a lot like mohaa. It also feels kinda like day of defeat from source. Its by far not anything like the new call of dutys. its more of the older cods when they were competing with medal of honors. It is a fun game. Id recommend this to anyone who loves older ww2 games.
