Camera has some flaws but is good enough to use for what I need it for overall this is a good camera and take excellent pictures because I have one just like it and my pictures have come out beautifully unfortunately the shutter does not open on this particular camera when it should but for the price it's good good enough!!

A top notch pro style camera - S3000!
At last. Even if it is older and "only" 3.2 mega pixels, the camera is pro quality as are the pictures you will take with it. The colors, detail, and contrast of the images are outstanding. No more looking at the back and holding the camera in front of you. No more not being able to see the back camera screen because of sunlight or darkness. Real optical zoom and real auto focus. Just like a single lens reflex camera, this camera lets you look through a viewfinder and see exactly what the image will be. You can set the frame or not have a frame in the viewfinder. Pop up flash that really works, instead of that weak camera body flash. SLR The zoom is quiet and fast and is optical not digital, which means REAL zoom, and you can actually see the zoom in the viewfinder. You can also see the ... At last. The picture recyle is fast also. I have a big name 6 mega pixel camera without all those features, but I plan to make it my second camera because the Fuji Fine Pix is so much better. According to Fuji's site, it will handle the 2 GB MX -E fast memory (manual says 528 MB XD because the manual was made years ago) and I have ordered one ($16.00) some hoping it will indeed work and give me tons of pictures and video. I also purchased a nice case made for the S series cameras ($ 9.00)that says Fuji on the front. I plan to get a new Digital SLR camera with lenses when I can save up the money, until then this camera will give me the same features. It even looks like an SLR. I do not even know why any company would produce a camera that you have to view from a little TV screen on the back, where you always miss the action because you are looking at the little screen. You can also use the screen on this camera if that is your choice (why?). Take it from me, if you are thinking about a digital camera that does NOT have some type of through the lens viewfinder or some type of viewfinder you can look through and only has the little screen on the back, DON'T BUY IT. If you can find an S-3000 Fine Pix for a fair price - GRAB IT. This camera is being recognized as heads above what is being made now. Aside from the lower resolution, you are basically getting a $1,000+ Digital SLR camera and zoom lens for next to nothing. But hey, as a photographer I always liked Fuji film with its super saturated colors and contrast, so I expected a fine camera and that is what I got. An 8X10 printed on highest quality inkjet photo paper and a high quality inkjet photo printer (like Canon) will give you lab quality photos that will knock you out. No joke, the S3000 is legendary. I now have two as I bought another one.

Good bang for the buck!
I had one of these before but my 90 lb. dog ate it! LOL. However; This is a great camera so I got another. I really like the simplicity of it. You can use NiMH batterys or standard AA Cells. For general picture taking there is nothing to dislike about it. However, it is not a high end camera - nor does it have a high end price. I find the 3.2 megapixel sufficent for my needs. The only real flaw is the extra lens's. ie. telephoto, wide angle and fish eye. When you can find them they cost more than the camera did for me! Fuji Does Simple
This Digital is SO Simple to use.Controls are easily identified.Takes Great Pictures.The beginner can get his/her feet wet on this camera without having to read a Novel to learn all the settings.Very Basic controls and menu. Its lightwieght and comfortable in hand.
