Still rockin' after all these years
This is the third Montreux dvd that I've purchased. The previous two offered great products of two top-notch bands, with excellent video and sound quality. When I spotted the Alice Cooper offering, I was a bit leery of picking it up. After all, it's been a while since he was (they were?) young and edgy and screaming out Billion Dollar Babies. I've mostly seen him playing golf rather than a guitar. But - having cut my teeth on Eighteen and No More Mr. Nice Guy - I thought I'd take a chance on the aging performer. I need not have been concerned. Despite his 60 plus years, he and the band put out a tight set of his better known songs and a few that came along after I quit following the pop music scene in the 80's. His voice is still pretty darn strong, although he (like myself) can't quite reach the high notes any more. The songs sound almost as good as they did back in the mid and late 70's. The band backs him quite well, and his voice held strong for the entire concert. My only criticisms are that the songs begin to sound somewhat alike after a while, and his stage props are not very interesting to watch. But I guess I purchased the dvd for the sound and not the guillotine. Overall, Alice still was able to uphold his image and sound and provide this aging fan an enjoyable afternoon journey into his distant youth. Thanks Alice - see you at the next pro-am golf tourney.

Alice....Still the King!!!!!
I`m the biggest Alice Cooper fan in my country Venezuela (for shure!!),and this DVD confirm that Alice Still the King,the real grandpa of Heavy Metal & Hard Rock, and the pioneer of the theater-Rock....I really like this DVD,is not the classical Alice Horror Show,but is a great way to see who`s the boss in this business...A lot of new song of the Rough Diamond album,but a nice bunch of old classics like "WISH I BORN IN BEVERLY HILLS,BILLION DOLLAR BABIES,I`M EIGHTEEN,NO MORE MR. The best Alice Cooper DVD by far
I've seen some of the earlier concert videos by Alice Cooper and this is clearly the best. It has everything you'd hope for in a live video, including terrific camera angles and superb sound quality. It's amazing the large quantity of songs that are perfomed during this show. It's clear that Alice is not just playing a dozen or so favorites like many other performers from this era. I don't believe he has as many of the props that he had in earlier days. Excellent DVD!
This is by far the best Alice Cooper live release. It has enough songs new and old to please fans of all ages. The entire show was shot with multi cameras and is also in surround sound. 27 live songs on the dvd and includes a cd of the same show with 19 of the songs on it. Also note that for the first time in over 15 years Alice did the song "Wish I Were Born In Beverly Hills".
