  • A Great Entry Into Becoming A Technical Analyst

This is another very good example of why the "For Dummies" books are so popular. It provides what is needed for a basic understanding of technical trading and how it transcends markets while offering some opinions by the author which may or may not transcend markets. If you put aside the opinions and pay attention to the methods provided you'll come away with a good grip on T.A. that you can build upon on your own.

  • Good, but could be better

If you are just starting out to learn technical analysis this book in not the place to begin. It does not begin with an explanation of the fundamental Dow Theory and its application and build on it from there as it should have. Better starter books are The Dow Theory and The Elliott Wave Principle, to be read in that order. If you are already knowledgeable about the fundamentals of technical analysis and have some experience with practicing it, then this book is a good one to expand your horizon and to use as a reference check as you do your daily analysis.

  • Technical Analysis for Dummies was fantastic!

I loved this book, because it made everything so simple to understand. It pulled all the different indicators together, so the light bulb came on in my head, as to how to read a chart. There really wasn't anything that I disliked about the book, it was a great easy read. Straight to the point and made it all so simple, to understand. I have only read 3 books for DUMMIES, but have loved each one. I purchased the book, because I didn't really understand all the different chart indicators and how they work. Now, I know and feel alot more comfortable in reading my charts. It makes a great reference book to fall back on anytime, you have a question about technical analysis!

  • Good choice for beginners and advanced technicians alike.

For those interested in learning how to read charts and time the markets, this is an excellent book covering the fundamentals.
