It’s been sooooo long!
I haven’t seen this particular Pokemon Film in about 15 years...I remember borrowing a vhs copy from my friend next door, and watching it in my room while I played with legos on the floor...oh the memories, I wish I could be 10 years old again. It can be very hard to find this movie on dvd at all, much less brand new and factory sealed like this copy was. Mewtwo Returns DVD is worth it!
Pokemon Mewtwo Returns is a very good movie that continues off Mewtwo Strikes back. I always felt this sequel had a lot of in depth lessons that anyone could take to heart. This DVD has great quality and bonus features. A mini movie of Mewtwo's origins is worth it alone.

It continues the story of Mewtwo, where we left off at the end of Pokemon The First Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back. In this movie, Mewtwo's creator Giovanni, has finally found him and the other clones, and tries to regain control of him no matter who he has to go through to do it. Ash, who taught Mewtwo that every life is precious, no matter how it enters the world, ends up in the middle of their war, this time on their side, trying to help Mewtwo and the clones defend the only home that they have had since the first movie. I have no dislikes about the movie, and love the ending. (I won't spoil it for you.) This is a good movie that is appropriate for any age. (I'm 32.)It continues the story of Mewtwo, where we left off at the end of Pokemon The First Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back. The perfect Christmas present for my brother.
My brother is a huge fan of Pokemon and I decided to give him this, it's called Mewtwo Returns this 3-part special is a sequel to the first pokemon movie. Team Rocket's sinister leader and his forces set out to captured Mewtwo once and for all and it's up to Ash and his friends to save him and stop team Rocket. Of course, it's Pokémon! 4Kids has done it again. (WARNING: This review contains spoilers.) Pokémon the first movie (AKA. Mewtwo Strikes Back) was supposed to be seen as a 'trilogy' of sorts. Starting off with the featured short, The Origin of Mewtwo, this special DVD gives you some insight into Mewtwo's brooding and causes of his insanity displayed in Mewtwo Strikes Back. It features a few friends of Mewtwo who were also attempted clones who didn't survive the cloning process. Mewtwo was left unconscious for a long time and when he awoke, finally able to live (learning what he had from his friends), it was explained to him that he was nothing more than a science experiment. Closed quarters and carelessness drove him to insanity. This was furthered by Mewtwo Strikes Back when Giovanni ... Of course, it's Pokémon! 4Kids has done it again. (This included Pokémon who were in the care of humans or treated them as friends.) After some self discovery (a la death battle and a wreckless act by Ash Ketchum), Mewtwo found some form of salvation and decided that not all humans were careless. He then deleted the memories of those he caused suffering and went to find a home where he could live peacefully. This story is continued in Mewtwo Returns. This one hour, feature-length episode delves deeper into Team Rocket's want of power, money and Pokémon who would serve their evil purposes. Mewtwo, whose heart has softened just wants to live his life peacefully (with his fellow clones) but Team Rocket will give him no rest as they finally resort to having Mewtwo's loyalty or letting him die. Featuring on the cast are the very highly talented Veronica Taylor (as Ash Ketchum), Rachel Lillis (as Misty and Jessie), Eric Stuart (as Brock and James), Ted Lewis (as Giovanni), Keri Williams (as Domino) and Amy Birnbaum (as Luna Carson). If you're a Pokémon fan, you should enjoy the whole series of original movies if you watch them correctly. (Or - if you love Pokémon enough - even if you don't.) If you don't know much about Pokémon or never saw anything related to it, this isn't a movie for you. I would then recommend Lord of the Unown Tower as a decent starting point if you choose not to watch the series. If you do choose to see this (and/or the series), buy Mewtwo Strikes Back (unless you already have it somehow) and watch it in the order of The Origin of Mewtwo - Mewtwo Strikes Back - Mewtwo Returns.
