About this product

Product Information

Wizardry: Tale of the Forsaken Land is a game presented in grand fantasy-RPG fashion. Players are able to customize every relevant aspect of each character in their party of adventurers. The game features large scale, 3D melee battles that may pit the party against over a dozen enemies at once. The game's "Allied Battle System" allows the party to work together for enhanced defensive and offensive techniques.

Duhan was a safe and pleasant kingdom, quietly thriving through years of peace and prosperity. This all changed instantly, the day the heavens fell open and hordes of demons spilled out into the pastoral land, killing thousands and completely destroying the beautiful city.

The queen of the land disappeared, rumored to have sought safety in the legendary labyrinths beneath the castle. Among the very last, brave survivors of Duhan's terrible destruction, it falls upon the player's characters to follow the queen's escape beneath the ground and to seek answers among the mysteries uncovered there.

Delve into the depths of the dungeon.

A nice throwback to the days when rpg’s were text-based dungeon crawlers. You read the scenario and your imagination does the rest. The gameplay is compelling, the graphics are great, the dungeon is atmospheric and keeps you intrigued and wanting to explore, and the story continues to unfold the deeper you go. Venture at your own risk. Awesome game!

  • Worth every bit!

Absolutely unblemished disk as described! was not expecting a " perfect " game surface, my dated PS2 had no problem reading it, so HARD to find this game in playable condition with original GAME BOOK! Honestly when I got the game(and still kinda DO) I felt like Matt Damon in the "Martian" when he describes himself as technically humanities first space pirate! Thank you so much!

  • Atlus does it again with Wizardry.

Atlus' video games have never failed to amaze me, and Wizardry: Tale of the Forsaken Land for the PS2 is another instant classic. I've been trying to get my hands on this game since I first played it years ago, and the wait has been well worth it. The artist renditions to the 3D graphics are all of the best for the PS2 and though a bit it left to the imagination, the game is a solid thumbs up. Voice acting leaves a bit to be desired, but that's not where the game really kicks in. If you can avoid spending the sometimes $100 price tag, pick up a copy and find out why Wizardry was a steal at $20.

  • Challanging RPG well worth the price. A must for any HardCore RPG fan.

A classic dungeon crawl on a new system. Wizardry Tales of the Forsaken Lands has you going through 8 levels of a once prosperous kingdom that is now ruble thanks to an explosion. Along your adventure you will encounter NPC that you can recruit and add to your party, a ninja that wishes to over come his fear of death and a samurai who wishes to get revenge on a demon for claiming her brother. The monsters are not your typical RPG monsters. Along with the standard status effects in RPGs (sleep, paralysis, charm/berserk,and poison) there are also monsters that can cause you to lose a level, kill you in one hit, and even wipe a character out completely so you can not resurrect them again. The story takes about 30-40 hours to complete. After that the player is rewarded with a harder dungeon ...
