House of night series 1-4
I like the vampire school theme. It gets a little confusing following the difference between adult vampire's and fledglings not actually being vampires yet. And then with Stevie Rae becoming a new kind of vampire that dies in the sunlight and the fledglings that just get tired at dawn and can see better in the dark. That part is confusing because it seems that the fledglings would have some kind of sensitivity to the sun. Also, as this is supposed to be a kids book (even if it is young adult) sex with a professor? Even if age is timeless in vampire years what kind of message is that sending to kids? But overall I think it is a good story series and I read all 4 books in one week.I like the vampire school theme. I can't give a review as to like or dislike about the P.C. Cast books. I bought the books as part of a Christmas gift for 17 year old girl that is in the system in my state because she was taken away from her parents. The author P.C. Cast was listed on her list of "would like for Christmas". I am a reader and also wanted to give her something fun for Christmas besides the normal clothes that are needed for children in the system. Buying the new set off e-bay also saved me money so I could put more toward the needed clothing. I was quite pleased with the books.I can't give a review as to like or dislike about the P.C. I love that these books are not stuck on the sappy love story. They are exciting, easy to read and totally addictive. The characters are believeable teenagers. The story is easy to follow. I love it!
