Pretty Smart Cookie! Nice home automation Thermostat!
I am a techie and this thermostat and the companion app give me all the smart features and flexibility that I like. The installation and setup and wifi connection were very easy and straightforward. I just installed the unit and still learning all its numerous features. Two observations: 1) Under the device setting menu, you can define the heating range and cooling range for your home. After setting the desired range, and pushing save, the app comes back with an error message that something went wrong with saving and you should try again. The message is bogus and if you exit the page you will the desired range is indeed has been saved! The support people at Ecobee are aware and hopefully will address it! 2) If there is an AC vent or air return vent over where the thermostat has been ... Buying a battery to see if it actually connects as the thermostat was not picking it up at all. Overall though both thermostats work great and was shipped very quickly!
