About this product

Product Information

Many conversations have turned to the topic of what to do if someone only has a short time left to live. Say goodbye to loved ones? Slump into a depression? Go party-crazy and live it up until the Reaper comes knocking? For Harry Sterndale (Chris Rea) the choice is simple: Tracking down everyone who has ever done him wrong, Harry is hellbent on getting some revenge before he passes into the ether. While this might sound like a bleak premise for a movie, PARTING SHOTS is, in fact, darkly humorous, with musician-turned-actor Rea ably supported by a stellar cast, which includes appearances from Ben Kingsley (GANDHI), Bob Hoskins (MONA LISA), Diana Rigg (THE AVENGERS), Joanna Lumley (ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS), and many others.

  • Great movie

No, it’s not the greatest movie ever made, but it is a fun way to spend your evening. Great cast, Chris Rea is a top-notch blues guitarist from England in his first acting role I believe. He also wrote the music for the movie.

  • Though not great, Parting Shots is an entertaining movie (lots of stars).

I'm a fan of Felicity Kendal and got this movie because she is in it. To that end, I was satisfied. As for the movie, though filled with stars, it was only a "so-so" movie for me. I'm not familiar with the main star (Chris Rea), but my take is that he isn't really an actor. Everyone else lived up to my expectations. For light entertainment, filled with some great characters, this movie won't disappoint.

  • Parting Shots

I bought this movie because of its cast. It was a quirky British movie. My husband didn't like it but my sister and I did. The British are so much drier about murder than we are. He was almost passionless about the whole thing.
