About this product
Product Information
Before World War 2, most excursionists to Spurn arrived by boat. Sailing and rowing boats gave way to paddle steamers in the 19th century, followed by motor cruisers. The arrival of the railway in 1915 offered some visitors the prospect of riding the sail bogies. An appendix to the book details recreating one of these vehicles in 2019.
