    High quality, has grease zerks

    There was nothing wrong with the product -exactly as advertised. However, installing it was a burger. Had to pull the engine on my John Deere 317 to remove the old one and install the new one. The old drive shaft was "frozen" to the engine shaft - turned out to be a 2 day project for me.

    Bad u joint

    Shaft was great. Fit good. Replaced shaft on engine at same time and vibrations went away. Started getting a vibration again at end of season and parked mower. Front u joint failed. Front u joint didn’t even last a season. Not very happy at moment. Damaged steering linkage when it failed.

    Great quality product

    John Deere driveshaft, better quality than the original. Heavier made and has grease fittings on the universal joints for regular maintenance. It'll probably last longer than the original that only lasted 38 years.

    Drive shaft

    The replacement drive shaft fit perfectly. It is far superior to the original. It has greasable crosses in the u-joints. The original lasted 40 years so I don't expect to have trouble with this one in my lifetime.

    Exactly what I needed

    The driveshaft on my John Deere 317 had a bad front u-joint. This was an exact replacement, except this one has grease zerks. Works great, glad I bought this.
