      Coleman ice chest drain repair kit

      Not like the original drain plug but very functional and works well. Old plugs literally fell apart due to old plastic/age. Install was not quite as easy as you tube video implied. The exterior section and inner washer are stuck to the foam filling between the interior and exterior skin. While not a show stopper if you aren't mechanically inclined you might think it is not removable or you might do damage. Just a slow twist to break the adhesion between the foam and the original parts. I did NOT replace the inner washer as there was nothing wrong with it. Used this past weekend with 0 leaks. Saved the cost of 2 new ice chests! I don't normally give 5 stars but this was well worth it. If it lasts another 30 years I won't have to worry about replacing them again!!

      Perfect replacement

      Fairly easy to replace. I used the correct sized hex key to hold the spout while tightening. This is not a common size hex key as it is fairly large. Maybe could have held it by jamming needle nose pliers into the spout? You do have to get it fairly tight to prevent leaking.

      It looks close to the original one but some differences.

      This kit works but it does not have the double seal that the original one had. The plug is not attached with a screw, it has been changed to be a one piece molded one. Look good, but don't know if it will last as long as the original one. Don't know why the changes if the other one was better? Time will tell.

      Wonderful

      Having this seemingly insignificant part so readily available through eBay made it possible to rehab my Coleman cooler. I also got new hinges for it through eBay. So I expect to get another ten years out of it. Sorry, Coleman, I won't be another as soon as you hoped 😝

      Good quality, great fit easy to install....

      Good quality, great fit easy to install.Just use needle nose Vice grips dialed out to fit the tabs from the inside of the cooler and hold on to the outside of the plug. Fits great.
