The paste was thick out of the tube and took some effort to cover the top of the CPU, due to its thickness. But the process went well. The cooling fins sat down nicely atop the paste and were secured in place with little/no resistance from the paste. The paste acclimated nicely to its new environment and is performing its function very well as I have been running the CPU hard since.

This one is supposed to have better conduction but in turn it is thick. I think it was reluctant to stick to the chip faces. I used a little bit of alcohol to moisten it and it spread easier. Some clain heat will make it easier but it worked fine without.
