      Tuned up it makes a very low SWR.

      If you know a little about antennas you are going to be looking for one that can get you the lowest swr your radio can achieve. The Cobra CBRHGA 1500 is a great fit for my Cobra 29 ltd bt cb radio. Once I had everything in place for operation I calibrated the antenna. You must remember that this is an antenna rated for 300 watts output. To start off all my swr readings where in the deep red zone cause my radio is stock. I had to use a dremel with a cutter wheel to make cutting at the base of the antenna easy. It is tough to cut with anything short of a small bolt cutter or cutting wheel of some sort. Anyhow just over an eight of an inch at a time and about 4 inches later I was getting a full spectrum swr of 1.2. The antenna sits in the middle of the roof of my Suburban. It is easy to ...

      Not as strong as I was hoping it would be but I guess it’ll work. UPDATE: THIS THING IS JUNK!!!

      Doesn’t pick up a great signal but we’ll see how it does going across three states on our vacation. UPDATE: Tried contacting these guys as soon as we got back from vacation two weeks ago but still no answer back. This thing is a piece of SHI* No clear signal, can’t even pickup up people right next to me and the bottom is already falling off! It won’t even stay magnetized to the roof and this was only days after buying it. Bought another one from someone else and no issues, works perfectly and I can pick up anybody in the area! Don’t buy from these people, it’s not worth the bs headache! ZERO STARS!

      Very Nice Antenna

      No surprises actually anything Cobra is excellent and as was expected this antenna does what it is supposed to do. I bought 2, for that reason one for me and one for my wife and I "never" put anything that doesn't work out there that she's going to need to rely on. And we use our Cobra CB's for everything, but especially for our safety.

      Cobra 100watt CB antenna

      I own three of these antennas and use them daily in the use of hand-held CB's that have weather capability. They perform well for me. I recommend them for use by those who want to keep in touch with the weather radios and communicating with nearby CB radios. I find it to be reasonably priced and the quality is excellent.       Good antenna around town

      Don't use any kind of amp with this one. It will heat up and get high SWR. I got good reports on clear TX from up to 2 mi. Had flat SWR with radio alone.
