He gave me exactly the piece I wanted and it's beautiful! They cut it down to my required length. There is always some concern about 3 piece mates coming apart. I'm not going to compete and throw it around much but both ends tightened hard and I don't think they'll ever loosen. If they do, a good strong twist from both ends will reset them.
