    Great focal range, quick focus and good image quality.

    I use this lens in far less than ideal conditions. It is often hot and dusty. While not abused, they are worked hard. The focus is quick and reliable. Image quality is great. The only issue that I've had is that the zoom ring can get quite stiff after a few years of use. To be fair, that can be upwards of 100,000 shots, all outdoors in everything from pouring rain (covered as well as possible) to dust.

    Outstanding performance vs. the D version of this lens. Focus ispeed is way faster and accurate. I’ve used continuous focus for wildlife tracking with excellent results.
