      I asked the seller before ordering if I could verify the SN with broadcom. The seller promised that it was possible. I have not done it, but the card appears to be genuine and works flawless so far. It came with an older firmware, but it was easily flashed with storcli. The item was not shipped in an broadcom cardboard box, like on the pictures. There was also no bubblewrap to protect the item. The attached full height PCIe bracket was slightly bent, but I could easily bend it back into place.
