        Good tool for detecting the presence of AC voltage.

        I've had a few of these over the years. My last one lasted 3 years of heavy use in an industrial environment. Keep an eye on the batteries and replace as needed. If they leak, the acid ruins the circuitry. The 1AC II has the best range for the most common applications, 90v-600v. I wouldn't trust your life with it, but it's a good tool for quick troubleshooting. For actual electrical work, use a meter, wear PPE and always follow LOTO procedures.

        Recommend and recommend that you check the batteries once a year.

        Fluke is a good way to check electric power before you get zapped.. This is my second one since I did not check the batteries for over a year maybe 2 so they leaked and it just beeped..... I do recommend this device.

        Best voltage detector

        The fluke 1ac detects voltage instantly when I put it near a hot AC wire. This can't be said for the other cheaper ones that work intermittently. Excellent build quality too, it won't fall apart.

        Fluke Voltage Detector - great visual/audio alert

        Just put the tip near a hot wire and the device has a flashing red visual tip and a sound alert. Fits in your pocket.
