Flyleaf ROCK!
Its been a while since a new band caught my attention. I've stopped listening to the radio cause its full of adds and crappy commercial music, also it seems there theres only 20 different tracks in rotation at any given time across all of Ireland and the UKs Radio stations arent any better. Oddly enough I 1st heard flyleafs "Im so sick" in Rockband on the ps3, I wanted to hear more, so I googled them and found that theyd released this album. If youre reading this you could be in the same position.. All the tracks on this album are good, some are great, but none are bad.. and crucially, it works as an album! I like the unplugged tracks, but the vocalists voice is a bit strained in some passages. All in all I really enjoy this record and I will continue to do so for the foreseeable ... Flyleaf's first release has proved to be excellent! Nineteen seconds into the first track,"I'm So Sick", Lacey Mosley and band quickly turn up the energy and keep it going all the way through track 11. Tracks 12 through 15 are acoustic remixes of several of the afore-mentioned studio tracks but still fantastic! The 4th track, "Cassie" is a memorial tribute to a young lady who's life was taken at Columbine High School in Columbine, Colorado. Heartfelt and touching. The lyrics provide insight into the pain and suffering we all experience on both a personal level as well as the pain we share as a whole, during and after the catastrophes that cross our paths. Uplifting and well written. The DVD? If you can get the release with the DVD, GET IT! Hearing Lacey sing on the CD is one thing but, by ... Flyleaf's first release has proved to be excellent! Incomparable; Original and Raw Christian Alternative Rock
I love everything about this cd. It's raw, grungy, artistic, rockin alternative Christian music that speaks to the gut of your soul no matter what your religious stance is. Lacey Spurn has a fire in her belly and it comes out in her voice and spirit as if she was exhaling pain and darkness while simultaneously inhaling life and light. This is original Flyleaf at it's very best with Lacy Mosley Spurn. The music and lyrics will transform you. This is as real as it gets.I love everything about this cd.
