No contact from buyer before feedback. The kit has to work with the limited space left when removing the factory radio. The top and bottom have to be narrow in order to fill the gap. Although the kit may feel flimsy, it adapts an aftermarket radio to the space left when removing the factory radio. Once the radio brackets are secured, the trim piece (flimsy part) basically becomes just a trim panel that covers the excess space. It doesn't hold the radio, it's purely just cosmetic.

Kit was easy to install in 2015 Smart. Radio trim piece finish is dull compared to original.
Instructions state that side brackets install with stereo provided bolts. My factory stereo & my new stereo did not come with the four M5X20 Phillips bolts I needed. A trip to hardware store cost $0.75. Kit harness not needed. Plug & Play even though some wire colors differ.
Read many Smart Car owners who had wiring configuration issues because Smart had revised wiring harness pin locations & colors.
