I recently moved into a smaller apt and the previous tenant was a heavy smoker. After cleaning the carpets, smell was still heavy in the air! I let this machine run on High for both Ultraviolet and Ozone and within 4 hours that stench was GONE! Came back the next day and smell was still gone! Should have bought this years earlier for all my apts.
