CBGB Most people don't know what this is

CBGB is one of the last movies starring Alan Rickman and it was especially important to be made. The trailers and previews sucked. I never saw one on my TV or at the theater. Most people who weren't from NY City or weren't tied into the PUNK magazine, never knew what CBGB meant. I used to wonder listening to David Byrne's lyrics what CBGB stood for. I missed the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame awards for The Talking Heads when Hilly was introduced. I wish I had the chance to have been at CBGB live. This is the closest I can come to that. The film was well done and entertaining. It should have been advertised by the producers better. I recommend this film for anyone who likes the music of the late 70's and early 80's and not just the Punk scene.

  • The History of the origin of US punk rock in this dvd!
