    Thought-provoking

    This video is basically about the power of positive thinking and how this enhances well-being, creativity, healing, relationships and general good fortune. The video goes into the spiritual aspects of positive thinking, maintaining that the universe is made up of energy, that people are made up of energy and that when we engage in positive thinking this influences the universe to bring good things to us and that when we engage in non-positive thinking (fear, anger, resentment, worry ...) the universe delivers bad things to us. I am not in anyway an expert on the world's religions, but I did not see anything in this video that would likely be offensive to religious persons.

    Keeping it in Perspective...

    This is a great film. And practicing the concepts that it teaches will bring about change! It truly has in my life!! But I will say that with a dissclaimer: As a Christian and believer in God and Jesus as my Saviour. I found myself struggling as I watched this film. The Law of Attraction is real!! And it works! UNDENIABLY! The best gift you can give yourself and those around you is to stay positive and grateful! Surely if we all did that we would live in a better world!! But let's not loose sight that this world is SET on a course of self destruction and we are ALL in desperate need of deliverance! THAT, we can not provide for ourselves. NOR will ANY amount of positive thinking prevent the course of things to come. MUCH of what is taught in the video is supported in the ...

    My "take" on THE SECRET

    Touching upon one of the very few common yet basic tenets found within almost every religious doctrine known to man from the earliest historical recordings, the LAW OF ATTRACTION was dealt with in what I consider to be a comprehensive manner. The film could be strengthened, in my opinion, if more effort had been expended on the second of the three components of the law..."believe." More specifically, we should ASK, then BELIEVE, and then we will RECEIVE. The asking part is simple enough...we all have wants, dreams, and needs, but it is the belief in some element that is larger, residing beyond oneself, that was not dealt with sufficiently.     'The Secret' appears to have split the population into those who believe in the power of the mind and the 'law of attraction' and those who don't. Ultimately of course that's a personal decision for you. The actual film is not a movie as such; it's more of a documentary and is made up of contributions from self-help thinkers, philosophers and scientists and also contains a high number of acted out scenes to illustrate the points. Bob Proctor, Bob Doyle, Jack Canfield and Joe Vitale are particularly notable contributors. I have to say that 'The Secret' has a great accompanying soundtrack and is very well packaged and put together.     This Secret is good, but already revealed by God

    I thought this dvd was well made with an excellent message and easy to understand. They broke it down so it's easy to apply to daily life regardless of one's demographics. The funny thing about it to me was that there's a little promise from God that goes something like "Ask and ye shall receive." The problem is that people fail to realize it has to be God's will as to whether or not they receive. While there are other "ways" to get what you desire, God is the only one who gives freely, but it has to be according to His will.
