These sensors work great with Home Assistant. They detect motion quickly and trigger HA automations to turn on the lights. I initially had issues getting the illuminance sensor to report accurate light levels. I fixed this by changing Z-wave parameter 9 from 100 to 5. To increase battery life, I increased parameter 2 from 5 to 30, and parameter 6 from 4 to 8. All in all, these are great sensors, easy to pair with HA, easy to install, and you can't beat the price.

Inconsistent in operation, but primary function is useable.

I have purchased three of these devices now. When paired with either Hubitat or VeraPlus, the only function that is the same for all of them is that they report motion in a timely manner. However, the illumination function behaves differently on each one (regardless of whether paired to Vera or Hubitat). Under the same lighting conditions they display significantly different values. For instance, when sealed in a light-proof plastic bag one will display a value of zero, one a value of 16 and one a value of 65. Using the same driver on the Hubitat, one shows 7 state variables with their values, one shows 7 state variables but only one of those variables has a value associated, and the third shows only 1 state variable and its associated value. Lastly, I can only disable the LED on one ...

    Great sensor.... Terrible mount

Works okay with smart things. The mount is absolutely terrible. It uses a magnetic attachment and is prone to detach from the magnetic base and fall. Mounting possibilities are very restricted due to the limited angle of operation.

  • These can't be beat

These are the best motion sensors obverse ever bought. I had one come in that had the front lens pushed in on both sides but still worked and smooth was D.O.A. but I'm sending them back for refund. So far I've purchased 8 and then another 6. Got them all over the house turning on ceiling lights in hallways, stairways and multiple rooms. One thing you must consider. My cats are triggering these as they walk by so I will lower sensitivity and/or take them off the ceiling and upper portion of the walls pointing down to the ground and move them down using a more horizontal pickup pattern so as to not be triggered by cats and only triggered by us walking by. These repeatedly trigger and don't time out like some other sensors which will only trigger once every three minutes to save battery ...

  • Great Motion Sensor, works with SmartThings if added correctly

Great Motion Sensor, works with SmartThings if added correctly. You must search for z-wave motion sensor when adding, adding it the normal way it’s detected as a contact switch and does nothing. You can log onto the SmartThings device list and change it to a motion sensor if you added it by hitting +, but using the search method is easier. This motion sensor is very responsive and quick, it also senses light levels. It works much better than other sensors and I love the magnetic mount. Battery lasts forever. I have Had one over a year, used with Wink before I switched to SmartThings. So many better options on SmartThings, I bought 4 more. Using to control lights, light stays on as long as there is motion in the room, turns off if no motion for a specified amount of time. Lights turn on ...

  • Great motion detecting, light sensor not so good

The motion detecting works great, light sensor not so great. Sometimes the lux reading stays on 0 have to shine a flashlight on the sensor to get it to move from zero.
