I always liked Hank Williams as a kid and I'm glad that his music is still selling. I wish that Hank Williams would have lived longer but the liquid in the bottle Hank loved was the solvent distilled to destroy men's souls. I like Hank's Grandson's work too, and I hear that his great grandson is a musical artist too, must run in the family!

Unmodified excellence
Outstanding sound, exactly like it was recorded in the late 40s and early 50s. No artificial stereo, no artificial feedback resonance, no later-year overdubbed duet vocals. Just Hank as his records sounded when originally released.

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend for Christmas this year. We're both fans of Hank Williams but we actually didn't have any of his music in our collection. So I bought it for him. This is a great collection of Hank Williams songs. It has all of my favorite Hank Williams songs. Very happy that I bought this. Brings back good memories of listening to Hank Williams while riding along with my dad in his truck.

Hank Williams 1st king of music
Hank at his brillant best on this jam packed 2 cd set. His songs and writings still hold there deep emotional value today as they did nearly 70 years ago. This is a great collection of some of his best. This is a must for any true music lover. If you feel bad over anything listen to this set and Hank will make you realize that there is someone feeling excatly how you feel. A TRUE MUST BUY!

40 Greatest Hits Althought this original release was back in 1977 , DO NOT BE FOOLED , this is A JEWEL ... Sound alone is Chrystal Clear and Beautiful .. Bass is AWESOME ! Although I have many many many Albums and box sets of Hank Williams SR , this IS and will always Be BY FAR MY FAVORYTE , Greatest Hits Double Album ! Why ?? Well simply the Song line-up ! In my humble opinion the set-up od the song list has been very well thought out ! It also has some seldomly found songs on it , also has alternate versions from the regular standard Albums ...
