EDDIE AND THE CRUISERS: Back in the early 1960s, Eddie and the Cruisers, a (fictitious) rock band, was the hottest act around. However, in 1964 the group broke up, following the apparent suicide of the band's charismatic lead singer Eddie Wilson, who drove off a bridge. His body was never found. After 20 years, TV reporter Maggie Foley decides to do an investigative story on the band. At the same time, she searches for the missing tapes of the group's last recording, which could provide clues to Eddie's disappearance. The more Maggie researches her story, however, the more she suspects that Eddie Wilson may still be alive...EDDIE AND THE CRUISERS 2: EDDIE LIVES!: The rock star who disappeared when his car ran off the road years ago is living in Canada with a new identity. As the president of Eddie's old record company plans to make millions from the "Lost Tapes" of Eddie and the Cruisers, Eddie is starting up a new band which is soon discovered...and so is Eddie, who must come to terms with himself and his music.

    Eddie w/o Cruisers

    Not as good as the 1st. The first Had a great cast, nice story line and cool music. The story line in the second, makes Eddie look like he has to many mental issues. Story drags on. Grand finale is weak. The disk has both movies on one disk. Side A/B. Disk quality is good. Second movie is a disappointment.

    The music was the best part of the movie. The concert scenes were realistic and the lip sinking was not noticiable. Very good acting and a decent story line. I also purchased both CDs - John Cafferty and the beaver brown band.

    It Rocks

    Eddie and the Cruisers is one of those movies I never seem to tire of. I got hooked on it when it first hit cable back in the eighties and every time I spotted it on tv somewhere I either watched it or DVR'd it, but I got tired of the editing for commercials, etc. and decided to buy it along with the sequel, which I enjoy just as much.A good Rock and Roll movie is hard to find that isn't cheesy and cliche filled, and although these movies do throw a few around, over all it's a good story line with interesting characters.

    Both movies together on a single two-disc set is the way to go with "Eddie & The Cruisers". MOD means it's always in stock. The audio is excellent and the song mixes sound way better than on YouTube.
