Haven't put it back on my bike but I have put it on the carb and it dose not stay open by its self ...it dose hang open about half way on choke which should be fine... my bike never really needs the chock unless its really cold out side and my factory one would not stay open so no big deal.at least this one dose half choke lol . Over all pleased white the carb choke. My finger is pointing at the choke which is in the carb when closed up just FYI
